Privacy Policy

Tamizha Boomi is a property marketplace for Tamil Nadu, made up of a mobile app and this website, run by JIME Developers ("we", "us"). This policy explains what information we keep, why, and the choices you have.

Signing in

You sign in with your mobile phone number and a one-time code sent by SMS through our SMS provider, MSG91. There are no passwords. We keep a short record of each code request so that sign-in works and can be protected from abuse.

What we keep

• Your phone number, your name and, if you add one, your email address.
• Your listings: photos, videos, the property details you enter and its location in Tamil Nadu (District, Taluk and Village or Town). For land, also the map pin you place.
• Your wishlist, saved searches and the listings you have recently viewed.
• Your chats and the messages in them.
• Site visits, visit requests and your visit calendar if you set one up.
• If you list as a broker, your business details (your broker profile), such as agency name, areas, RERA number and website.
• Reports you make about listings.
• Your notification settings and the push tokens of your devices.
• If you leave your name and number on the website without signing in, that name and number, so the lister or our team can get back to you.

Your phone number

Your phone number is never printed publicly. People talk to listers through in-app chat. A lister can choose, listing by listing, to show Call and WhatsApp buttons; those buttons appear only to signed-in people, and only on the listings where the lister turned them on. Your public page shows your name and your live listings, never your number.

How we use it

• To run the marketplace: show listings, deliver messages, book visits and send reminders.
• To keep it safe: review reports, stop spam and remove listings that break the Terms.
• Our team may contact listers about their listings, for example to check details.
• To understand how the app is used and make it better.

Notifications

We send push notifications through Firebase Cloud Messaging and Expo for new messages, visit updates and visit reminders. You can turn each kind off in Settings. We send offers and news about Tamizha Boomi only if you switch that on.

Analytics

When it is enabled, the app uses Microsoft Clarity to record how the app is used (session and usage data, such as screens visited and taps) so that we can find problems and improve it.

Who we share it with

We do not sell your information. We share it only with the services that help us run Tamizha Boomi (such as MSG91 for SMS, Firebase and Expo for notifications, Microsoft Clarity for analytics and our hosting provider), with the people you choose to talk to on the platform, or when the law requires it.

Deleting your account and how long we keep data

You can delete your account at any time in Settings. This removes your account, your listings with their photos and videos, your wishlist, saved searches, devices and sign-ins. Upcoming visits are cancelled and the other person is told. Messages you sent in chats with other people stay in their chats, shown as from "Deleted user".

Listings you delete are kept for 30 days so you can undo, then removed for good. Sign-in code records are removed regularly. We may keep some records longer where the law requires it or to deal with abuse.

Your choices

You can see and change your name, email, listings and notification settings in the app or on the website, and delete your account in Settings. For anything else, contact us.
